The PetTech Global Export Desk
The team behind every buying guide on this site.
Every guide here starts as a question a buyer sent before placing an order: what the real production MOQ is, who owns the tooling, which certificate covers which SKU, and how many cartons actually fit a container. The export desk answers those questions all day, and these guides turn the recurring ones into checklists, teardowns and post-mortems you can act on.
“Kevin Zhang” is the desk’s editorial byline. Articles carrying that name are written and checked by this team.
What the desk covers
Category selection
Feeder capacity classes, fountain battery behaviour, litter-box safety sensors, grooming suction and noise specs — the numbers that decide returns.
OEM and private-label economics
MOQ ladders (50 / 1,000 / 3,000), tooling ownership, and what neutral, printed and fully custom packaging actually cost.
Compliance paperwork
CE, RoHS, FCC and GPSR: what a certificate covers, what it does not, and which document a port inspection asks for.
Freight and landed cost
Carton CBM, container loading math, DDP versus CPT, and where a cheap quote hides its cost.
How a claim gets verified
-
1
Specifications come from the data sheet the buyer will be quoted against, not from a category average. Where a model differs from its class, the guide says so.
-
2
Commercial terms come from the order desk — MOQ, lead time, tier breaks — and they are printed as ranges, because they move with configuration.
-
3
If a buyer cannot check it on a sample or in a document, it does not get written as a fact. That rule is why you find test steps and inspection checklists here instead of adjectives.
What you will not read here
No invented percentages. When a guide says “buyers usually”, treat it as the desk’s working observation from the enquiry inbox, not a statistic. Outside claims — a regulator’s deadline, a published test result, an owner’s account — are named and dated so you can check them yourself. Articles are dated, and a page carrying a stale number gets corrected rather than quietly reprinted.
Corrections
Found something wrong, out of date or overstated? Email support@pettechglobal.com with the URL and the line. Corrections are applied to the article, and certification dates, MOQ tiers and lead times are re-checked whenever a supplier file changes.
